Throwback Thursday: Why I’m Running for Mayor Comes Down to Family and Community

ree

Today marks 27 years of marriage with my amazing husband, Nathan—and what better day for a little Throwback Thursday reflection?

Elections have always been a family thing for us. From supporting one another through long nights of community meetings to waving signs with our kids on street corners, this journey has never been mine alone. I’m incredibly grateful for Nathan’s unwavering support, and for the life we’ve built here in Eagle Mountain.

Like many of you, we moved to Eagle Mountain because it was what we could afford at the time. We stayed because we fell in love—with the views, the values, and most of all, the people. We raised our family here. We built a life here.

And that’s why I’m running for Mayor.

I’m running because I’ve spent countless hours listening to you—at your doors, in meetings, over coffee, and at city events—and I know what matters most to the families who call this place home.

I’m running because I bring professional experience, leadership, and collaboration to the table—skills that will help guide our city through both the challenges and the opportunities ahead.

Most of all, I’m running because I love this city. I want to preserve what makes Eagle Mountain special, while thoughtfully planning for its future.

Ballots are out, and now is the time to make your voice heard.

Return your ballot today—and vote Melissa Clark for Mayor.Let’s build a hometown that future generations will be proud to call their own.
